SUMMARY:Author Talk: Orv Cullen - "A Time to Tell"
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging program with author Orv Cullen as he discusses A Time to Tell\, the compelling continuation of Ania’s journey first introduced in his debut novel\, No Gentle Rain. This program is open to the public. \n\nAbout the book:In this new installment\, Ania confronts an agonizing dilemma: should she reveal a difficult truth to protect Henryk from his grandfather’s manipulations\, or step back and allow events to unfold on their own? Her return to Poland sets in motion a series of choices that will reshape the future for herself\, for Henryk\, and for the generations connected to them. \n\nAbout the author:A native of Wisconsin\, Orv Cullen holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College and a post-graduate degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. After seventeen years in parish ministry in Illinois and Wisconsin\, he transitioned into the financial industry near Washington\, DC. Now living in Myrtle Beach\, South Carolina\, with his wife\, Lidia\, Cullen brings depth\, reflection\, and emotional insight to his writing.

SUMMARY:"Our Town" x Norman Rockwell
DESCRIPTION:Step into the Streets of Old Oconomowoc for a special reader’s theatre production of Our Town\, presented by Oconomowoc High School students and community members in collaboration with Cornerstone History Symposium. \n\nNorman Rockwell and Thornton Wilder each captured the essence of American life in their own medium\, Wilder through spare\, powerful storytelling and Rockwell through richly detailed images of everyday moments. Both drew inspiration from small-town life\, illuminating ordinary homes\, schools\, traditions\, and rituals with extraordinary meaning. Together\, their work reflects a deep sense of community\, continuity\, and the universal truths found in simple\, daily life. \n\nThis unique performance pairs live dramatic readings with projected images of Rockwell’s iconic artwork and evocative background music\, creating a layered artistic experience. Surrounded by the immersive backdrop of our Streets of Old Oconomowoc exhibit\, audiences will be transported into a world that celebrates small-town life\, memory\, and the beauty of living deliberately. \nSeating is limited – click here to buy your tickets!
